ObhaiSheba™: A Safe Commute for Patients and Healthcare Professionals during COVID-19 Pandemic
Always thriving in search of silver linings, OBHAI took a step forward and took the initiative in providing its own manpower and means of transportation with aims to help ease the hassle of medical related commutes for the people in Bangladesh. The on-demand ride-hailing app built around the pillars of safety and convenience launched special travel arrangements in the form of ObhaiSheba™ for doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, hospital staff and patients to travel to and from hospitals or healthcare centers amidst the ongoing pandemic for the betterment of the society
The global COVID-19 crisis has caused quite the stir in everyday lives, culture and economy pushing the masses worldwide well on the backfoot. No different in Bangladesh, the outbreak has continued to bring adverse shock on the country’s financial, social, and economic aspects. Given the present epidemic, it had become difficult for the patients and medical personnel to commute to and from required vicinities.
Via OBHAI G (sedan cars) and OBHAI CNG, this dedicated travel arrangement in ObhaiSheba™ for patients and healthcare professionals is operating in Dhaka and Chattogram and is rapidly expanding across the country.
Ever since its inception, the safety and health of drivers and passengers remain the utmost priority for OBHAI and with the launch of ObhaiSheba™, extra precautions are being taken to ensure the practices are well and truly maintained enroute to providing top-notch services.
Daily Safety Training
To minimize health risks, OBHAI has put added emphasis in selecting their top drivers for ObhaiSheba™ and are consistently providing them with necessary safety training in dedicated hubs in areas from where the drivers can also complete their health check-ups before and after completion of rides.
Drivers disinfect the vehicle each time by using disinfectant sprays provided by OBHAI as soon as the ride is over as per specialized training provided to them.
Other Safety Measures
Hand sanitizers, tissues, etc. are regularly being provided to passengers and drivers throughout rides and for extended safety measures, OBHAI drivers are always using masks, face shields and gloves.
Payment method for ObhaiSheba™ has been designed as being contactless and is operating through Mobile Wallet (Bkash, Nagad) and POS system.
OBHAI hopes that normal life resumes soon, and together we can work to flatten the curve. With that belief, OBHAI has taken the Emergency Travel Services initiative OBHAI Sheba™ to make the journey of Bangladeshi citizens easier.

Passengers can book the ride at least 1 hour to 24 hours prior of taking the ride.
